Western society is broken

Western society is broken

okay so this subject has been on my mind for quite some time and I just wanted to discuss it and to make a video about it so I truly believe that Western society as we know it the society and first of all countries is broken and I can say that for sure after living in eastern countries as well as Western countries that Western countries even though that even though there's so much more developed in terms of infrastructure in terms of facilities but the society the core of the society the health of the society is really bad and the society itself is broken and let me get into that so in third-world countries you might have less facilities less you know opportunities but the society the people-to-people contact is not broken in Western societies were pretty much on our own we think that you know we have systems in place so anyone can manage things on their own well humans are social you know beings and we need people to people contact to flourish and to prosper and the way the Western society today is set up that does not allow us to have that kind of contact so you know it starts off from you know like early teenage years like in Western societies parents you know they're involved in their child's life and everything but you know they try to push them and try to inculcate values of independence and self assessments and so that they can kind of just grow and handle things on their own whereas an Eastern societies parents you know they keep getting involved until like the kid gets married or sometimes in cases even after that so I mean it's about you know the two extremes you know Western society encourages kids to be independent you know on your own and to manage your own affairs you know with age and in Eastern cultures you know the parents might be seen as overbearing so it's about getting the right balance I feel like after college or even during college kids rack up their student loans and after they graduate it's a it's really difficult you know with the job market you know there's few entry-level positions so there's few organizations that actually want to take a chance on you after college so I mean you rack up all these student loans and you don't know how you're going to pay them off you do multiple jobs you do whatever but you have to like pay off your loans whereas in Eastern cultures parents typically to support their children and during college and you know then you have less pressure on kids to you know really I mean so there's less negative pressure I would say to actually you know face these kinds of issues so that's the first thing secondly when you're working I've noticed in the in the Western work culture that you know everyone so drained out and you know working to you know the utmost of their abilities and you know so stretch that people you know there isn't enough people-to-people contact at work or you know outside of work so people need to you know have you know Friday nights or you know weekends where they just want to relax and you know cool off and just just kind of get away from the whole routine and in Eastern cultures you know you there's much more for work you know and personal life balance which is not found in Western cultures and Western cultures it's typically more geared towards you know your professional life and neglecting it can come at a cost of neglecting your own personal life and issue cultures there's more people-to-people contact on a daily basis you can have your friends or you can have your relatives or you know immediate family members you know drop by there's all they're always there on standby to help you out you know if you're newly married and if you work you know parents can look after the kids you know so that you don't have to stay at home so there's a sharing of responsibilities and Eastern cultures there's this whole thought behind the greater good the good of the family the good of the society in general whereas in Western cultures it's about the individual and we believe that you know if the individual is good if every individual is good the society in general it's gonna be good but that might not necessarily be the case because the lack of integration between their front human beings and that's the thing that's missing in Western cultures and you know there's people have a hard time you know dealing with stress you know in Western cultures people can suffer from anxiety from depression from many things and they don't have anyone to reach out to and it's surprising that even though Western culture you know it's so far ahead in terms of medical advancement in terms of you know technologies in men mental health but the rates of suicide are actually going up and Western cultures so you know there's a lot of unhappiness it's a sign that the society is broken and there is not enough people-to-people contact whereas you know well you know Eastern cultures can be overbearing but there's you know there's never the feeling when I've lived in an Eastern country you know when I was growing up or even when I visited it never feels like I'm all alone you know I feels like you know even though it can be you know irritating to have you know so much presence around you all at the time but you never feel like you're all alone which is I think you know better feeling you know then being all alone you know the feeling of you know having overbearing you know parents or whatever so I think that you know people actually care in Eastern cultures and if you're in a problem they try to get you out whereas in Western cultures you know you're pretty much on your own you know you can you know you can take advice from people so I think it's I think with the stress that is you know forming in terms of work in terms of you know just the world that we live in it's a high high pressures just that we live in you know and high pressure societies you know a lot of peer pressure I think it's so important that we have that human to human connection which is missing in Western cultures and I think people should be open to the idea you know I think I honestly believe that people from Eastern countries you know like I was you know they should live in Western countries and cultures and you know vice versa you should have Western people living in Eastern cultures and you know you can find that on Google if you go on Google if you search travel blogs you know there's so many people that escape from you know you know escape you know from Western cultures and go to you know try to live you know or at least visit you know Eastern cultures and they love it over there there's a you know connection even though there's less facilities in those Eastern called countries but there's a more human to human connection as well as a connection to nature you know if you go to an Eastern country and you don't find you know that you know there's electricity all the time you know it's it's not a huge deal for them they manage to live and they learn to live without you know those things as well you know whereas in Western countries if you have a power outage for an hour you're gonna freak out so or you're not accustomed to these things you know you're not accustomed to living life without internet go to like an Eastern country and if you don't have internet access you might be pleasantly surprised how much a piece you're gonna be you know you're gonna actually do things that you know might actually be good for you mentally you might actually be able to relax and get loose connection with you know social media and you might actually you know just have the connection with nature and you know deal with things that really matter and you know Western countries were so occupied with these things that we forget that there's nature out there there's nature to cherish to enjoy to live and there's you know you can you know you can be a minimalist and you can still live a really prosperous and a really fulfilling life you don't need you know all the latest technology you don't need quite a lot of things you know to prosper so I think just the whole element of materialism and superficiality I think is you know like the the core cause of like the unhappiness that we have we're just too dependent on material things and goods and I think it's important to just realize that life and health and our happiness are the most important things not technology so let me know what you guys think thank you bye
